<p class="ql-block">美術(shù)課結(jié)束了,但瓦斯蒂留在位子上,她的畫(huà)紙一片空白……The art class was over, but Vashti sat glued to her chair. Her paper was empty.</p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂的老師看著空白的畫(huà)紙,驚嘆道:“哇,是冰天雪地里的北極熊”。“真可笑,” 瓦斯蒂說(shuō),“我根本不會(huì)畫(huà)畫(huà)”。Vashti’s teacher leaned over the blank paper. "Ah! A polar bear in a snowstorm," she said."Very funny!" Vashti replied. "I just can’t draw!"</p> <p class="ql-block">老師微笑著說(shuō):“你哪怕是做個(gè)記號(hào)也可以,看看它會(huì)指引你去哪里”。Her teacher smiled. "Just make a mark and see where it takes you."</p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂抓起墨水筆,用力在紙上戳了一個(gè)點(diǎn),說(shuō):“就這兒了”。Vashti grabbed a felt-tipped pen and gave the paper a good, strong jab. "There!" she said.</p> <p class="ql-block">老師拿起畫(huà)紙,認(rèn)真地研究起來(lái):“嗯——”Her teacher picked up the paper and studied it carefully. "Hmmm," she said. </p> <p class="ql-block">然后她把畫(huà)紙放回到瓦斯蒂面前,說(shuō):“現(xiàn)在,簽上你的名字。”Then she pushed the paper back and said, "Now sign it."</p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂想了一會(huì):“好吧,也許我不會(huì)畫(huà)畫(huà),但我還是會(huì)簽名。”Vashti thought for a moment. “Well, maybe I can’t draw, but I CAN sign my name.”</p> <p class="ql-block">一周后,當(dāng)瓦斯蒂走進(jìn)美術(shù)教室,她驚奇的發(fā)現(xiàn)在老師的桌子上面掛著的一幅畫(huà)。那是她畫(huà)的點(diǎn)啊!她的點(diǎn)!而且畫(huà)已經(jīng)用旋渦狀的金黃色相框裝了起來(lái)。The next week, when Vashti walked into her art class, she was surprised to see what was hanging above her teacher’s desk.It was the little dot she had drawn- HER DOT!All framed in swirly gold! </p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂宣布:“恩,我可以畫(huà)比這個(gè)點(diǎn)更好的點(diǎn)!”"Hmmph! I can make a better dot than that!" she declared.</p> <p class="ql-block">她把已經(jīng)很久不用的水彩筆拿了出來(lái),開(kāi)始畫(huà)畫(huà)。She opened her never-before used set of watercolours and set to work. </p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂畫(huà)呀,畫(huà)呀,畫(huà)了好多點(diǎn),有黃點(diǎn),綠點(diǎn)、紅點(diǎn)、藍(lán)點(diǎn)……發(fā)現(xiàn)中間出現(xiàn)了一個(gè)紫色的點(diǎn)。瓦斯蒂一直不停地嘗試下去,又畫(huà)出了許多不同顏色的點(diǎn)。Vashti painted and painted. A yellow dot. A green dot. A red dot. A blue dot.She discovered that she could make a PURPLE dot.Vashti kept experimenting. Lot of little dots in many colours.</p> <p class="ql-block"> “如果我可以畫(huà)小點(diǎn),我也能畫(huà)大點(diǎn)?!?</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂說(shuō)完就拿起了一支大畫(huà)筆,在一張大紙上揮毫起來(lái)。“If I can make little dots, I can make BIG dots, too.”Vashti splashed her colours with a bigger brush on bigger paper to make bigger dots.</p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂甚至通過(guò)留白的方式創(chuàng)造 “一個(gè)空點(diǎn)”。Vashti even made a dot by NOT painting a dot.</p> <p class="ql-block">幾周后,在學(xué)校的藝術(shù)展覽上,瓦斯蒂畫(huà)的各種各樣的點(diǎn)讓大家大開(kāi)眼界。At the school art show a few weeks later, Vashti’s many dots made quite a splash.</p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂注意到有一個(gè)小男孩在認(rèn)真地看著她的畫(huà)。他對(duì)瓦斯蒂說(shuō):“你真是個(gè)大藝術(shù)家,要是我也可以畫(huà)畫(huà)該多好??!”“我保證你一定可以”瓦斯蒂說(shuō)。“我?不可能。我即使用尺子也不會(huì)畫(huà)一條直線?!毙∧泻⒄f(shuō)。Vashti noticed a little boy gazing up at her.“You’re a really great artist. I wish I could draw.” he said.“ I bet you can,” said Vashti.“Me? No, not me. I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler.”</p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂遞給小男孩一張空白紙,說(shuō):“畫(huà)給我看?!毙∧泻?huà)了起來(lái),他的筆在不住地顫抖。handed the boy a blank sheet of paper. “ Show me.”The boy’s pencil shook as he drew his line.</p> <p class="ql-block">瓦斯蒂注視著男孩的畫(huà)。過(guò)了一會(huì)兒,她說(shuō):“請(qǐng)……簽上你的名字?!盫ashti started at the boy’s squiggle. And then she said…“Please… sign it.”</p> <p class="ql-block">上面這個(gè)故事,來(lái)自于加拿大作家彼得·雷諾茲的繪本《點(diǎn)》。這本書(shū)為許許多多的人打開(kāi)一扇窗戶,鼓勵(lì)人們勇敢去發(fā)現(xiàn)、去追逐,被翻譯成20多種語(yǔ)言和盲文出版,曾榮獲美國(guó)克里斯托弗大獎(jiǎng)等十多項(xiàng)年度童書(shū)大獎(jiǎng),同名電影還入圍奧斯卡動(dòng)畫(huà)短片獎(jiǎng),榮登《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》圖書(shū)暢銷排行榜第一位。它的出版日——9月15日也被命名為國(guó)際“點(diǎn)”日(International Dot Day),這是一個(gè)屬于孩子們的節(jié)日,在這一天里,孩子們自由地創(chuàng)作屬于自己的點(diǎn),每一個(gè)點(diǎn)都是獨(dú)一無(wú)二的。繪本中老師幾句簡(jiǎn)單但智慧的話,就可以改變孩子的一生。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">有多少孩子,能夠被老師欣賞,能夠被父母珍視,能夠被同學(xué)看見(jiàn)?每一個(gè)點(diǎn)都是獨(dú)一無(wú)二!</p>
