Once upon a time，很久以前，there was a cat.有只貓咪。 Cat hunted in the day.貓咪習慣在白天捕食。She hunted mice,birds and frogs.她捕食捉老鼠、小鳥和青蛙。 At night, cat went to sleep.晚上，貓咪去了睡覺。 Cat wasn’t very good at hunting in the day.貓咪白天捕獵的成果很不好。 The mice,birds and frogs could see her.老鼠、小鳥和青蛙都能看見她。 “We can see you, Cat!”said the mice in the grass.“我們看得到你，貓咪！”老鼠在草叢中對貓咪說。 “We can see you!”said the birds up in the trees.“我們能看到你！”樹梢上的小鳥說。 “Cat, we can see you!”said the frogs by the pond.“貓咪，我們能看到你！”池塘邊的青蛙說。 And the mice and the birds and the frogs always got away.所以，老鼠、小鳥和青蛙們總能逃走。 Poor Cat was always hungry.可憐的貓咪總是餓肚子。 Soon she was very,very tired.不久后，她感到非常、非常地累。 One day,she was too tired to hunt.一天，她實在太累了，沒有精神去捕食。 Cat went to sleep and slept all day.貓咪去了睡覺，呼呼地睡了一整天。 When she woke up,it was night.當她醒來的時候，已經(jīng)是夜晚了。 Cat had not been out at night before.貓咪從沒在晚上出過門。How dark the night was!夜晚可真黑啊！ How big and shiny the moon was!不過，空中的月亮又大又亮！How sliver the moon made the pond!在月光的映照下，池塘的水波閃著銀光。 Cat was still tired.貓咪還是很累。She went to the sliver pond.她走到銀色的池塘邊。She washed her face.她洗了洗臉。Then she washed her eyes.然后，她又洗了洗眼睛。 All at once,Cat’s eyes grew big and shiny.突然間，貓咪的眼睛變得又大又亮。 They grew as big and shiny as the moon!她的眼睛變得像月亮一樣又大又亮！ Cat looked around with her big,shiny eyes.貓咪用她那又大又亮的眼睛四處看了看。 She could see in the dark!她能看到黑暗中的一切情形。 And what could Cat see with her big,shiny eyes?貓咪用她那又大又亮的眼睛能看到什么呢？She could see the mice in the grass.她能看到草叢中的老鼠。 She could see the birds up in the trees.她能看到樹梢上的鳥兒。She could see the frogs by the pond.她能看到池塘邊的青蛙。But they could not see her!但是，他們看不到她！ Cat hunted all night.貓咪整晚在捕獵。She hunted mice,birds and frogs.她捕食老鼠、鳥兒和青蛙。 Soon it was day.很快天就亮了。Cat was tired,so she went to sleep.貓咪累了，所以她就回去睡覺了。 Cat was very good at hunting in the dark.貓咪很擅長在黑夜中捕獵。She was never hungry again.她再也不會挨餓了。 And that’s why cats hunt at night and sleep in the day.這就是為什么貓咪會在晚上捕食、而在白天睡覺的緣由了。 　　我們都知道，人們一般是天亮了就起床學習和工作，天黑了就去睡覺休息，有著日出而作日落而息的生活規(guī)律。 可是，讀完今天的故事后，我們才知道，原來貓咪喜歡白天呼呼大睡而晚上出去活動，是因為她們只有在晚上才能有比較強的捕獵本領。小朋友們有沒有覺得許久的未解之謎一下子就解開了呢？相信很多人也是豁然開朗呀?? 寶貝們還知道有哪種小動物是有著和我們?nèi)祟惒灰粯拥钠嫣氐纳盍晳T嗎？可以問問家里的長輩和老師們哦，我們一起去探索更多的未解之謎吧?? 　　Okay, that's all for today.
