He was a big fellow, and he came out of the house, looking all around him. It was so dark, he couldn't see that Tom and I was standing on either side of him ,and could easily have stretched out our hands and touched him.</p><p class="ql-block"> "Who's there?" he called out.Getting no answer, he said, " Well ,I know something's out there ,and I'm just going to sit here until I hear it again ,"and he sat down under a tree and waited.</p><p class="ql-block"> Tom and I could move a muscle for fear he'd hear us,and everyone knows that when you're in a situation where you ought not to move or make a sound, that's exactly when your body starts to itch in different places .Well ,first it was my nose ,then the inside of my nose ,then the top of my head ,and the side of my face.
