For example, you can use a sunny spot outside, a shaded spot outside, and a spot next to a warm appliance.</p><p class="ql-block">Fill up 3 small glasses of water using room temperature water. Set one glass in each of the 3 locations. Wait about an hour.</p><p class="ql-block">When ready, take your kid to each of the three locations and take their temperature. Their temperature should stay the same.</p><p class="ql-block">Next, use the instant thermometer and take the temperature of the water in the glass. The temperature should be different.</p><p class="ql-block">Explain how the water changes temperature based on the environment.
