<p class="ql-block">Introduction</p><p class="ql-block">毛老師曾經(jīng)說(shuō)過(guò)：“背單詞、聽(tīng)聽(tīng)力、多閱讀是學(xué)好英語(yǔ)最重要的三個(gè)途徑。”而背單詞又是其中最重要的一點(diǎn)。</p><p class="ql-block">Professor Mao once said: “There are three important ways to learn English well -- reciting words, listening and reading.” Above them all, reciting words is the crucial point. </p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">增大詞匯量讓聽(tīng)力更容易被理解。</p><p class="ql-block">Increasing vocabulary makes listening practice easier to understand.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">1.在一篇聽(tīng)力中，往往會(huì)有若干個(gè)較難的關(guān)鍵詞。如果不知道這些詞的意思，就不能把內(nèi)容理解透徹。</p><p class="ql-block">Generally speaking, there will be several difficult keywords in a listening practice. We can never fully understand it without knowing the meaning of these words.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">2.在這門(mén)課一開(kāi)始，聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練總能讓我感到一頭霧水。太多不認(rèn)識(shí)的單詞導(dǎo)致我不斷地做錯(cuò)。</p><p class="ql-block">At the beginning of this course, the listening practice always baffled me. I constantly made mistakes because there were too much words I was not familiar with.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">3.從這之后，我把更多時(shí)間投入在背單詞上。</p><p class="ql-block">From then on, I put more effort into memorizing words. </p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">4.在毛老師的建議下，同時(shí)我也復(fù)習(xí)已經(jīng)學(xué)過(guò)的單詞，爭(zhēng)取對(duì)不熟悉的單詞能做出更快的反應(yīng)。</p><p class="ql-block">Under Professor Mao’s guidance, I review on time, trying to make quicker response to unfamiliar words.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">5.之后，我明顯地感受到了詞匯量的增長(zhǎng)對(duì)于聽(tīng)力有很大的幫助。</p><p class="ql-block">After that, I obviously feel that the increase of vocabulary is of great help to listening.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">6.我能夠更清晰地理解聽(tīng)力的意思，答題更加得心應(yīng)手。</p><p class="ql-block">I can understand the meaning of listening more clearly and answer questions more easily.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">增大詞匯量使閱讀更加流暢。</p><p class="ql-block">Increasing vocabulary makes reading more fluently.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">7.書(shū)面表達(dá)比口語(yǔ)交流更加地書(shū)面化和正式，因此，閱讀中出現(xiàn)的生詞也會(huì)更多。</p><p class="ql-block">As written language is more formal than spoken language, more new words will appear in reading practice.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">8.在課堂上，我們使用NPR新聞等原版材料作為視譯的內(nèi)容，從中能夠?qū)W習(xí)到大量地道又實(shí)用的生詞。</p><p class="ql-block">During the class, we are exposed to authentic learning stuffs such as NPR to do sight translation , all of which provide us with easy access to useful new words.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">9.我總是及時(shí)記錄下這些表達(dá)方式，并嘗試背下來(lái)。</p><p class="ql-block"> I always took notes of them, and tried to memorize them.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">10.除此之外，一些認(rèn)識(shí)的單詞也可能在特殊語(yǔ)境下具有不同含義，這種情況也需要進(jìn)行記憶。</p><p class="ql-block">On top of that, simple words with different meanings in special situations also need to memorize</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">11.例如，在非法童工這篇新聞中，“come to the table”的意思是談判。</p><p class="ql-block">For instance, in the news of illegal child labor, ‘come to the table’ means negotiate together. </p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">增大詞匯量使表達(dá)更加高級(jí)。</p><p class="ql-block">Increasing vocabulary makes expressions better.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">12.不論是口語(yǔ)還是寫(xiě)作，擴(kuò)大詞匯量都能使我們的表達(dá)更加高級(jí)。</p><p class="ql-block">Whether we speak or write, increasing vocabulary can make our expressions better.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">13.重復(fù)使用簡(jiǎn)單的表達(dá)容易使人感到單調(diào)、乏味。</p><p class="ql-block">The repetitive usage of simple expressions tend to make people feel dull and boring.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">14.通過(guò)積累聽(tīng)力、視譯課上學(xué)習(xí)的生詞，使之內(nèi)化為自己的知識(shí)，并靈活地運(yùn)用，能夠優(yōu)化我們的表達(dá)。</p><p class="ql-block">By accumulating new words we learned in listening practices and sight translations, we can turn them into our own knowledge.
