Master Kou Fuping, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award in Chinese Ceramic Art, has devoted seventy years of craftsmanship to exploring Jianbai porcelain, upholding the roots of this intangible cultural heritage while pioneering its modern development. The "Heaven-sent Great Fortune" pair of vases, a collaborative creation by Master Kou and calligrapher Chen Ji, masterfully integrates Jianbai craftsmanship, calligraphy art, and the culture of blessing, emerging as an exceptional artistic masterpiece with profound contemporary significance.

The "Heaven-sent Great Fortune" adopts the classic shape of a double-eared vase. Featuring a plate-shaped mouth, round lip, straight neck, raised shoulders, plump body, and an outward-extending foot ring, the vessel exudes a sense of steadiness, elegance, and grandeur. With his exquisite ceramic craftsmanship, Master Kou fully showcases the material beauty of Jianbai porcelain—its warm, smooth, delicate, and firm texture. The vase's proportions are precise, and its overall aura is dignified and graceful.

The bodies of the vases are inscribed with the Chinese character "福" (blessing) in both official script and running script by Mr. Chen Ji, embodying a dialogue between tranquility and vitality, as well as mastery and artistic charm. As a distinguished researcher at the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts and a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Chen Ji has long delved into the creation of "blessing culture" works. Through the intaglio craft, the charm of his brushstrokes blends seamlessly with the porcelain body, harmonizing the fragrance of ink with the radiance of porcelain. The character "福" symbolizes longevity, wealth, peace, virtue, and many descendants, imbuing the work with the profound meaning of "heaven-sent great fortune" and embodying the Chinese people's aspiration for a better life.

This pair of vases represents a deep integration of Jianbai porcelain, Chinese calligraphy, the culture of blessing, and intangible cultural heritage. It is not a simple superposition of forms, but a sophisticated dialogue between craftsmanship and art, tradition and modernity. Master Kou's seventy-year commitment to Jianbai porcelain and Master Chen Ji's dissemination of the blessing culture through calligraphy have together breathed new life into the ancient intangible cultural heritage, offering a vivid example of the creative transformation of traditional culture.

The work was exhibited at the "Blessing Words—Art Exhibition of Chen Ji's Calligraphy" held in Sanfang Qixiang, Fuzhou. In this historic landmark of Fuzhou's cultural heritage, it displayed the elegance of Eastern art. Under the light, the delicate porcelain body reflects the inscribed calligraphy, exuding a timeless grace and profound implication.

"Heaven-sent Great Fortune" uses porcelain as its medium and blessing as its soul. It is not only a masterpiece of craftsmanship by Master Kou Fuping but also a paradigm of cross-border creative practice in contemporary intangible cultural heritage. Within the harmony of porcelain glaze and ink fragrance, it inherits the profound heritage of Chinese culture and the beauty of blessing for eternity.
