Tropical fish, turtles, manta rays, and even sharks can be seen in the waters, making it a paradise for snorkeling and sightseeing.</p><p class="ql-block">Compared to the bustling Tahiti, Moorea is more tranquil and natural, preserving its rich Polynesian charm. But the moment I put my face beneath the surface, a completely new world opened before my eyes. Colourful coral reefs, schools of tropical fish, and crystal-clear water made me feel as if I had entered an underwater paradise.</p><p class="ql-block">The most unforgettable moment was swimming alongside sharks and stingrays. The excitement and sense of wonder are memories I will treasure forever. The beauty and magnificence of nature left a deep impression on me.</p><p class="ql-block">I once thought that most of life’s “first experiences” were already behind me. Yet, at almost 71 years old, I discovered something entirely new and exciting. It offers panoramic views of Opunohu Bay, Cook’s Bay, dramatic volcanic peaks, and lush tropical forests.</p><p class="ql-block">From the lookout, visitors can enjoy one of the most iconic landscapes in French Polynesia, where emerald-green mountains meet the deep blue waters of the South Pacific. Deep blue waters stretch inland between towering mountains and dense rainforest, creating one of the most iconic landscapes in French Polynesia.</p><p class="ql-block">Unfortunately, during this visit we only admired Opunohu Bay from above and did not have the opportunity to explore the bay itself. Standing beside the water and looking up at the mountains would surely be a completely different experience. Its iconic overwater bungalows offered guests an unforgettable tropical paradise experience.</p><p class="ql-block">Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the resort closed and has remained inactive for several years. Today, these beautiful bungalows still rest peacefully above the turquoise lagoon, awaiting their long-anticipated return to life. </p> <p class="ql-block">站在觀景臺(tái)俯瞰這片寧靜的水上屋群，很難想象這里曾經(jīng)是無數(shù)游客夢(mèng)想中的度假天堂。希望在不久的將來，它能重新開放，讓更多人欣賞到莫雷阿島的絕美風(fēng)光。</p><p class="ql-block">Looking down at these peaceful overwater bungalows, it is hard to imagine that this was once a dream destination for travellers from around the world. Surrounded by turquoise waters, gentle sea breezes, and peaceful scenery, it feels like a true tropical paradise.</p><p class="ql-block">Walking along the floating pathway toward the pavilion, all that surrounds you is blue sky, white clouds, and the endless ocean. We also snorkelled in the famous Coral Garden, surrounded by colourful coral reefs and tropical fish, feeling as though we had entered a magical underwater world. From Belvedere Lookout, we admired the spectacular Opunohu Bay and Moorea’s iconic volcanic peaks while enjoying some of the purest ocean views in the South Pacific.</p><p class="ql-block">Every moment became a treasured memory.</p><p class="ql-block">As we leave, we take countless photographs with us, but the true beauty of Moorea will remain in our hearts forever.
