第一場(chǎng): 丑小鴨的出生
畫外音：It is warm, A mother duck lies in the stook, waiting for the birth of her children.
鴨媽媽：Well, my babies, come out quickly please. I’m tired.
小鴨1：Oh, what a beautiful world!
3只小鴨：Hi, mom! / Hi, Mommy!
小鴨4：Mom, what’s this ? Why doesn't it crack?
鴨媽媽：Don’t mention it, I spent too much time on it, but it still has no change.
丑小鴨：Hi, brothers and sisters! Nice to meet you!
小鴨2：Wow, her feather is gray,
it’s too rube!
小鴨3：Look! Her mouth is so big that she can swallow the whole pond near our home.
齊聲：It’s just an “ugly ducking”! We don’t like to stay with you.
鴨媽媽：Ah! Why is she so ugly? She shouldn’t come into this world!
小鴨4：Mum, let’s play games, OK?
鴨媽媽：OK
小鴨(齊)：Yeah!
小鴨2：Go away! You are too ugly!
丑小鴨：I’m not beautiful, but I am lonely. I want to play with you.
小鴨3：You can’t play with us. Stay away！
丑小鴨：Please let me play with you.
小鴨4：No, you can’t. We don’t want an ugly duckling to spoil our fun. . (突然，小鴨1在游戲中不小心摔倒了。)
丑小鴨：I can help you do something. (丑小鴨上前去扶她。)
小鴨1: I don’t need your help. Go away!
小鴨2.3.4：Go away!(眾小鴨把丑小鴨往外推。)
畫外音：The 4 ducks are very tired and hungry. They want to eat some food.
小鴨1: Mom, I’m hungry.
鴨媽媽：Oh, my babies, come to
eat some food.
小鴨2：Don’t give that ugly duckling any food.
鴨媽媽：Oh, don’t do that. She is your sister.
小鴨3：Our sister? Why is she so ugly?
畫外音：The poor duckling didn’t eat any food. It’s dark. Her sisters want to go home.
小鴨1:Oh, I’m very full and tired; I want to go home to sleep.
小鴨2.3.4：Me too.
鴨媽媽：OK.Let’s go.
鴨媽媽：My babies, good night.
畫外音：All the baby ducks kiss their mom, and they have a good night of sleep.
The ugly duckling stands up and tries to get close to them , but she is afraid. Finally, the poor duckling sleeps in a corner! (小夜曲響起）
丑小鴨：Dear mom, Life is unfair to me. I’m ugly. But it’s not my fault. Mom, I’m sorry, I have to leave you. Bye mom.
第二場(chǎng): 丑小鴨流浪
畫外音：The ugly duckling gets out of the fence, runs away from his family alone. She is very thirsty and wants to drink some water.
小鳥：It’s very hot today . Let me drink some water.(小鳥飛到水塘邊。)
小鳥：Look, an ugly thing is over there . Let me go and have a look.
小鳥：Who are you?（驚訝地問(wèn)）
丑小鴨：I’m, I’m, I’m a duckling.( 低著頭，小聲說(shuō)。)
小鳥：Ha, ha, look at your feathers. They are grey，looks so ugly!
小鳥：Go away! Don’t make the water dirty.
獵狗：Oh, what a dirty thing is in the way! Go away!
獵狗：Ha, ha! Good luck! A duck! My tasty food!
丑小鴨：Oh, don’t touch me! (小鴨驚慌失措，沒(méi)命地奔跑。)
畫外音：Winter comes. The water becomes icy. It gets very cold. There is no one outside. The ugly duckling slips on the ice. She feels very cold and lonely. How she
wishes someone could help her! At last she could not move any more.
丑小鴨：Oh, I’m freezing. ( 暈倒在舞臺(tái)上)
農(nóng)夫：Well, poor duckling. Let me save you!
第三場(chǎng)丑小鴨變天鵝
場(chǎng)景：春天，綠樹，花草，音樂(lè)。構(gòu)成一幅湖邊春光圖。
畫外音：Spring comes, flowers are blooming. The ugly duckling flies to the lake, she sees some beautiful white swans over there. They have white feather and slender necks. The ugly duckling wants to play with them.
丑小鴨：Ah! Beautiful birds, your feather is so white, your neck is so
slender, your posture is so nice, you are the most beautiful bird in the world!
天鵝1：Hello, my lovely friend, come and play with us!
眾天鵝：Come on! Come on!(快來(lái)呀！來(lái)吧！)
丑小鴨：You are so warm-hearted! But, don’t you think I'm ugly?
天鵝2：No, you are such a pretty swan!
眾天鵝：Take a look at yourself!
丑小鴨：Oh, my god! Is this me? I’m no longer an ugly duckling, I am a pretty swan now!
畫外音：It doesn't matter how you look on the outside. If you are a swan egg. You will turn into a beautiful swan one day.
