朱之文部長指出，統(tǒng)編義務(wù)教育三科教材在理念上，突出德育為魂、能力為重、基礎(chǔ)為先、創(chuàng)新為上；在內(nèi)容上，強(qiáng)化中華優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)文化教育、革命傳統(tǒng)教育、國家主權(quán)教育和法治教育等重要內(nèi)容。三科教材將于今年秋季學(xué)期統(tǒng)一在全國一年級和七年級首先使用，2018年延伸至二年級和八年級，2019年實現(xiàn)義務(wù)教育學(xué)校全覆蓋。
