These two lotus flowers remind me of my friend and I who are watching over each other, even though we are apart， one lives in America, the other one lives in China. I took the shot in front of a leaf so it covers the flower further away like a semi-transparent curtain. My feet was soaked in ice water when shooting the ice from the nearby Diamond Beach. But I was told by our guide that we would have a great chance to see northern light with active level 6 (very high) that night. It is not<br />just "seeing" or "sight", instead, it is an insight. It is the ability to see something that only you can see with your mind, some- thing that others do not see because this something does not have a physical reality. This something only exists in your imagina- tion, something that is within yourself. A vision is an idea or a concept. It can be made real through the creation of photographs that expresses this vision. In essence, it is making poetry through photographs. It goes beyond the technical knowledge of the cam- era and reaches the artistic level. It goes beyond mastery of the camera and reaches improvisation and self-. The goal of these photographs is then to express, communicate, and share these ideas with the audience.<br />The members in North Texas Asian Photographers' Association (NTAPA) strive to be inspired by vision. The members attends events in town for capturing the moments to be memorized, visits local parks and national parks for the beauty of the nature, and fo- cuses on every detail that can possibly be a subject of an artwork.
